SUN CITY CENTER, FL — A man was found shot to death Sunday night outside a Sun City Center community center, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office news release. Deputies responded to reports of shorts fired in the 7200 block of Camp Island Avenue around 10:45 p.m.When they arrived, they found a dead man with a gunshot wound, the sheriff's office said. Investigators learned that a group of people gathered outside the community center when an altercation happened. During the incident, the man was shot, the agency said. "Our detectives are working diligently to find out what led to this tragic incident," Sheriff Chad Chronister said. "We urge anyone with information to come forward and speak with our detectives. Even the smallest detail can make a difference in our investigation." Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to reach out to detectives at 813-247-8200.
