FLORIDA — This week in Florida, Patch covered three news stories about scams, reminding Florida residents that, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
In one case, two dozen people at three South Florida nursing schools were charged with issuing 7,500 fake diplomas, a 36-year-old Florida woman was accused of defrauding an 87-year-old holocaust survivor out of his life savings and a Plant City man was charged with acquiring Florida properties using fake mortgage documents.
