Motorcyclist Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash

The Tampa Police Department is investigating a Monday morning hit-and-run fatality involving a motorcyclist.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Police Department is investigating a fatal Monday morning crash involving a motorcyclist and a hit-and-run driver.

According to the agency, the crash occurred sometime before 3:40 a.m. March 6 at the intersection of West Waters Avenue and North Boulevard. Police say a truck and motorcycle collided.

The male driver of the motorcycle, who isn’t being identified at this time, died shortly after the collision at a local hospital.

Police say a red pickup truck was involved in the crash, but its driver took off on foot before officers arrived on the scene.

Anyone with information about the crash or the identity of the truck's driver is asked to call the police department at 813-231-6130.
