TAMPA, FL — A new ALDI grocery store is opening Dec. 5, 9 a.m., at 213 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa.

To celebrate, the first 100 customers will receive a gift bag filled with a sampling of the brand’s favorites and a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program, according to a news release.

Shoppers can also enter a sweepstake the weekend of Dec. 5-8 for a chance to win a $500 gift card to the store.

The new Tampa store, which is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., offers organic produce, exclusive brands, gluten-free and plant-based options, and curbside pickup and grocery delivery options.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” Matt Thon, Haines City vice president for ALDI, said. “ALDI is positioned to help keep costs as low as possible because of our disciplined approach to operating with simplicity and efficiency. We’re committed to offering our shoppers the products they know and love at the lowest possible prices, period! We have served the Tampa community for more than 16 years and are excited to continue offering residents an affordable way of shopping.”

As part of the Dec. 5 grand opening, ALDI will donate $1,000 to Feeding Tampa Bay, which is part of the company’s commitment to donating $150,000 to Feeding America and its network of affiliates working to alleviate hunger.

ALDI will also donate excess grocery items to the local community through the Feeding America network.
