New Seeds Festival to Showcase Women's Performing Arts

The festival will feature women performing across all genres.

Dance, poetry, music, theater and comedy of women will be featured at the New Seeds Festival Friday, March 22 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at Tampa Preparatory School, 272 W. Cass St., Tampa.

The Southeast's women's performing arts festival showcases avant garde work across all performing arts genres during Women's History Month.

This year’s lineup features New York poetry sensation, Climbing PoeTree. The duo has shared the stage with such artists as Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu and the Rev. Desmond Tutu.

Also performing is Philadelphia virtuoso guitarist, Christie Lenee, nominated "Best Female Songwriter" for Origivation Magazine's 2010 Reader's Choice Awards.

Tickets are $20.
