Here are the top stories in Tampa today:

1. World of Beer is having its third annual National Llama Day celebration on Thursday, December 9th. Guests that bring their llamas to any participating location will drink and eat free. That includes bringing someone dressed as a llama. (Tampa Patch)

2. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis revealed a budget proposal on Thursday that would develop new armories and establish a secondary paramilitary force in Florida. DeSantis is recommending more than $100 million to support the Florida National Guard. (Florida Politics)

3. A Tampa Bay middle school student at Florida Virtual School created his own video game. 11-year-old Kingston James developed a game called Inversion and learned the ropes through trial and error. The game is now available to play. (ABC Action News)

4. Dr. Bob Hueter of OCEARCH says it's impressive how many sharks have appeared at the TECO Manatee Viewing Center in Apollo Beach. Most sharks appear to be young bull sharks and are not a threat to the manatees due to their size. (WTSP)

5. St. Petersburg's famous Biff Burger restaurant has closed and will have an auction for all assets on Tuesday, December 7th at 10 a.m. Justin Basil of Tampa-based Rockwell Investments purchased the restaurant for a little over a million dollars earlier this year, St. Pete Catalyst reported.
