Obama's Visit Could Impact Rush-Hour Traffic

The president is speaking at Hillsborough Community College's Dale Mabry campus at 4:15 p.m. Friday and should be departing around rush hour.

Your commute home Friday could be worse than usual thanks to President Barack Obama's visit to Tampa.

The president's 4:15 p.m. appearance at Hillsborough Community College's Dale Mabry campus is expected to draw roughly 3,000 spectators, plus protestors and media.

Commuters could experience some delays beginning in the early afternoon as security is beefed up around the college and on Dale Mabry Highway near Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Tampa Bay Boulevard, TBO.com traffic reporter Leslee Lacey reports.
