1. Governor Ron DeSantis has proposed a bill to ban critical race theory in classrooms and workplaces. Parents would have the ability to sue if they believe their child is learning about the theory. Consideration for the bill will occur during in the next legislative session in January 2022. (WTSP)

2. More travel options: Allegiant Airlines has announced two new nonstop flights out of Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport including to Washington, D.C. and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Service from Sarasota-Bradenton to Tulsa International Airport (TUL) will operate twice weekly starting today. Service to Dulles International Airport (IAD) will also operate twice weekly starting December 18th, 2021. (WFLA)

3. Police say LPN William Cease, 63, was found partially undressed while inappropriately touching a 69-year-old patient at the Care Center of Pinellas Park. Authorities say they believe there could be more victims and a search for Cease is underway. (ABC Action News)

4. OddFellows Ice Cream Co., based in Brooklyn, will open its first Florida location in Hyde Park Village on Thursday, November 16th. Free scoops will be handed out to customers starting at 3 p.m. on opening day. (Tampa Patch)

5. Love coffee? WeVegan Cafe is holding a vegan latte art competition in South Gandy this Friday, December 17th at 6 p.m. Baristas will compete for the best pour. Oatly is sponsoring the throwdown that will also have plant-based food and adult beverages on top. (Creative Loafing)
