Petty Cash Stolen from Local Church

Stolen GPS systems are among this week's local crimes.

Below is a rundown of south Tampa crimes from the Tampa Police Department:

  • Between Sept. 23 and 24 at 3623 Obispo Street, a woman parked her vehicle in her driveway and left it unlocked. Someone entered the vehicle and took a Garmin GPS system and library cards that had been discarded on a neighbor's lawn. The woman failed to report the offense right away because she was "too busy," and drove the vehicle for a week before reporting the auto burglary. It's unknown if the items that were stolen have been returned.
  • Between Sept. 27 and 28, someone removed a window at Manhattan Baptist Church, went into the church office and took petty cash. The amount taken is unknown.
