Philanthropist Gives $100,000 In Sneakers To Kids At Vinik Family Club
Patrick Carroll, a self-made Miami tycoon, gave away $100,000 worth of the season's most sought-after sneakers to kids in Tampa Tuesday.
TAMPA, FL — Patrick Carroll, a self-made tycoon and one of Miami's most prominent real estate investors with more than 30,000 properties in his portfolio, gave away $100,000 worth of the season's most sought-after sneakers to underprivileged kids in Tampa on Tuesday.
This was Carroll’s second charitable giveaway following Miami.
Carroll commissioned famed sneaker aficionado, Ben Kickz, aka the Sneaker Don, to bring a Brinks truck filled with 600 pairs of high-end sneakers to distribute to members of Miami's Boys & Girls Club, a charity which Carroll serves on the board.

Growing up in Florida, Carroll said he relied on the Boys & Girls Club and their facilities to play basketball.
"Knowing firsthand how aspirational having the right pair of sneakers can be to a kid in need, it’s incredible to see the looks on these kid's faces when we pull up in that truck," said the 43-year-old Carroll.
