The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office needs help identifying two people accused of swiping more than $15,000 in copper.
TAMPA, FL — The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying two people its deputies say drove up to a home under construction and helped themselves to more than $15,000 worth of copper wiring.
According to the agency, the theft occurred sometime between March 23 and March 24 at a home under construction in the 3600 block of West Linebaugh Avenue. The thieves, an email from the agency said, drove up to the fenced site, cut the lock and then entered the property in a late 1990’s white Dodge Dakota pickup truck.
After taking the copper, they drove off undetected, the agency noted.
