Plane Collides With Vehicle At Tampa International Airport
The plane had just arrived in Tampa when it collided with the vehicle, officials said.
TAMPA, FL — A plane was damaged on Friday when its wing collided with a vehicle on the runway at Tampa International Airport, according to officials.
In a release shared on social media, Cayman Airways said that flight KX200 had arrived in Tampa from Grand Cayman when the plane made contact with a vehicle on the ramp as it was being guided to the gate by ground crew.
Officials said the collision resulted in minor wingtip damage, and the aircraft was removed from service.

"Maintenance crews at TPA are currently carrying out the necessary assessments at this time," Cayman Airways said in a statement.
The incident prompted the airline to cancel Saturday's flight KX201 from Tampa to Grand Cayman. It also caused minor delays to a few flights.

No other services were impacted, and no injuries were reported.
"Cayman Airways sincerely apologises for the inconvenience caused and thanks our valued passengers for their patience and understanding," the airline said. "The safety of our passengers, crew, and operations remains our highest priority."
