Plant High Senior Dies in Car Crash
The 18-year-old student was killed when her car hit a tree. Her passenger, another student, survived.
A Plant High School senior was killed in an auto accident Friday night, when the car she drove hit a tree, according to media reports.
WFla.com is reporting that 18-year-old Amanda Pierce was in Tallahassee Friday night when the accident occured. Plant senior Taylor Lazzara, a passenger in the car, was injured in the crash.
Pierce's car hit a tree when she swerved to avoid an accident on Interstate 10.

According to WFla.com, Plant High School Principal Robert Nelson heled a press conference at the high school Saturday:
"Amanda was as fun and lighthearted a person as you could ever meet," Nelson said. "People would got to see her to brighten up here day. She was well-known and well-liked in the school."
The principal said the two girls were visiting the FSU campus and picking up Pierce's sister, who is a student there, according to WFla.com.
