Platt Library Offers Ease for Voters
The Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library, 3910 S. Manhattan Ave., is a south Tampa voting location today.

Rosa Mercado hadn't voted at the Jan Kaminis Platt Regional Library in south Tampa until Tuesday.
But Mercado, a south Tampa resident who works at a local university, said the experience was quick and easy.
"I came because it looked like the lines were short," she said. "I only waited a couple of minutes."

Mercado, wearing her blue-and-white 'I Voted' sticker outside the library at 3910 S. Manhattan Ave., said she wanted to vote in order to support her stance on issues like health care.
"I'm for protection of children," Mercado said, "and I think everyone should be able to afford health care."
