Rain, Fog In Tampa Bay Area’s Forecast
Tampa Bay area residents may want to pull out their umbrellas as the workweek continues.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents may want to keep their umbrellas on hand over the next few days. Rain plays an increasingly stronger role in the forecast as the workweek continues.
According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday should be mostly dry during the daytime hours. Partly cloudy skies and a high around 80 degrees are anticipated in much of the region. Thunderstorm chances, however, creep into the forecast heading into the overnight hours when the low should drop to about 65 degrees.
Forecasters anticipate Wednesday will be a bit of a washout. There’s a 90 percent chance of showers in much of the region during the daytime hours when the high should only climb to about 75 degrees. Storm chances persist in the overnight hours at 40 percent with a low in the low 60s expected.

Thursday should be a bit drier with only a 20 percent chance of rain in the forecast for much of the region. The day’s high is expected to climb to near 80 degrees. Mostly cloudy conditions are expected in the nighttime hours Thursday with a low in the low to mid-60s forecast.
Good news in the forecast returns Friday when the weather service anticipates a mostly sunny day with a high around 80 degrees. Partly cloudy conditions are expected in the nighttime hours with a low in the mid-60s.

While organized, severe weather isn’t part of the workweek forecast, the weather service is warning motorists that patchy fog in the late night and early morning hours could remain an issue in some parts of the region as the week continues.
As for the weekend, forecasters anticipate it will be a nice one with cooler conditions likely. Mostly sunny skies are expected on Saturday and Sunday both. Sunday should be the coolest day of the weekend with a high around 73 forecast during the daytime hours and a clear night with a low in the low 50s expected.
