Tampa Bay Bucs Gear Up For Wild Card Game Against The Cowboys

TAMPA, FL — A giant #GOBUCS banner was dropped from the side of the Tampa City Hall Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers snagging a berth in the NFL playoffs.

The Bucs will take on the Dallas Cowboys Monday night in a wild-card game. Quarterback Tom Brady led the Bucs to the top of the NFC South division with an 8-9 regular season record. The Cowboys finished at 12-5 in the regular season.

For the third consecutive season, the Buccaneers will head to the playoffs following a 30-24 victory over the Carolina Panthers at Raymond James Stadium on Jan. 2 to clinch the NFC South division title.

This is the Bucs' eighth division title and their 13th trip to the playoffs, but the first time in the franchise's history that the team has been back-to-back division winners.

The win earned the Bucs the fourth seed in the conference playoffs and a home game to start postseason play.

Philadelphia, with a 14-3 record, won the NFC East; San Francisco with a 13-4 record won the NFC West; and Minnesota grabbed NFC North division title with a 13-4 record.

With a 12-5 record, Dallas wasn't a division winner, but secured the top wild-card spot.

The Bucs will face the Cowboys Monday with an 8:15 p.m. kickoff at Raymond James Stadium.
