Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper Ready To Rock Tampa

Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper plan to heat up Amalie Arena this July with a stop on their upcoming tour.

TAMPA, FL — Rod Stewart and Cyndi Lauper are joining forces for an 18-show tour later this year that includes a July stop at Tampa’s Amalie Arena. Tickets for the July 8 show go on sale Jan. 27.

“Stewart and Lauper have been awarded nearly every industry award and honor for their incomparable catalog of hits and activism, among them Grammy and American Music Awards, two inductions into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the ASCAP Founders Award for songwriting and a knighthood for Stewart; and an Emmy and Tony Award for Lauper,” arena officials said in announcing the show.

Stewart has sold more than 200 million records worldwide with such hits to his credit as “You Wear It Well,” “Young Turks,” and “Maggie May.” Lauper is best known for such hits as “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “True Colors” and “All Through the Night.”

Tickets for the Tampa show go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 27 at the McDonald’s Ticket Office at the Amalie Arena and Ticketmaster outlets. They’ll also be available by phone at 800-745-3000. Tickets for the July 8 7:30 p.m. show start at $31 and go up to $141. Prices do not include facility fees or service charges. Advanced parking passes are also available at Ticketmaster and the arena’s box office.
