Sedan's Driver Sought In Fatal Hit-And-Run
Tampa Police are looking for a motorist involved in a Dec. 14 hit-and-run crash that left a 52-year-old man dead.

TAMPA, FL — As Tampa Police continue to investigate a fatal crash involving a pedestrian and two vehicles, the driver of the second car involved remains unknown.
The crash in question occurred around 11:30 p.m. Dec. 14 along North Nebraska Avenue. Police say Willie James Bacon Jr. was walking in the roadway near East Crawford Street when he was struck by a northbound Ford Explorer. Following the impact, Bacon was thrown into the southbound lanes.
Police say a second vehicle struck Bacon in the southbound lanes. That vehicle, however, fled the scene, prompting a search for the motorist involved. The driver of the Explorer did, however, remain at the crash site, the agency noted in an email to media.
