TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating the shooting death of a man in his 40s who was Wednesday morning in the 8600 block of North 11th Street. Tampa police arrived at the shooting and found the man with a gunshot wound. They rendered emergency first aid until Tampa Fire Rescue arrived to take him to the hospital where the man died. While it is early in the investigation, detectives do not believe this was a random act. Anyone with information is asked to call 813-231-6130, download the TampaPD app or send a tip via TIP411.
