1. Vaccine Mandate Crackdown: The Florida Department of Health is investigating more than 100 businesses, venues and government agencies for potentially violating Florida's ban on "COVID-19 vaccine passports." It could lead to $5,000 fines per violation. On the list is Tampa Amphitheater which is requiring vaccines or negative tests to attend concerts and events as well as The MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, David A. Straz Center, Gasparilla Music Festival, and more. (Spectrum News 13)

2. The City of Tampa is taking the next step toward sustainability and long term stability with $36.6 million in new bonds for creative stormwater projects. It pairs with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor's Transforming Tampa's Tomorrow vision and the Resilient Tampa Roadmap. (Tampa Patch)
3. A new report has named Tampa and St. Petersburg among the "most at risk" cities for flooding. The report states an increasing flood risk over the next 30 years that could make up to 25% of U.S. infrastructure inoperable. (ABC Action News)
4. Birria Goodness: Tampa chef Jesus Bravo’s "Te Invito" quesabirria taco truck soft opens next week to the public. It will be outside outside St. Petersburg's Lingr restaurant, where Bravo works as a sous chef, starting October 18th. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
