- Local law enforcement with Tampa Police and Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Operation Silent Knights has led to the arrest of 15 illegal street racers. Police used a video posted on social media in the case. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact police. (Tampa Patch)
- A Lakeland woman pleaded guilty Monday to a charge connected to the Jan. 6 Insurrection on Capitol Hill. She pleaded guilty to a disorderly conduct charge on Capitol grounds in Washington D.C. as part of a plea deal. She faces up to five years in federal prison. (WFLA)
- The Tampa Bay Lightning have revealed its 2023-2024 NHL hockey season schedule. The season will kick off on Oct. 10 at the Amalie Arena in downtown Tampa. The home opener will be against the Nashville Predators. (ABC Action News)
- Bamboozle Vietnamese restaurant has soft opened in Tampa's Seminole Heights neighborhood. The location is at 7107 N Florida Ave. The menu includes traditional Vietnamese food including pho, banh mi, spring rolls, Vietnamese coffee, and more. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
- Jin Liu has been named the new board chair for the upcoming 2023-24 year at Tampa Downtown Partnership (TDP). Tampa Downtown Partnership works to improve the downtown area and helps to promote the area. Liu is a shareholder with Carlton Fields law firm and was also recently named a Business Woman of the Year nominee by the Tampa Bay Business Journal (TBBJ). (Florida Politics)
