1. Parents are nervous about sending their children to summer camps with unvaccinated children now that masks are optional in the county. Most children under 12 are still not eligible to be vaccinated. (Bay News 9)

2. The Tampa Bay Lightning came out on top Saturday 6-4 against the Carolina Hurricanes. Game 5 will be held on Tuesday with the Lightning leading the series 3-1 in the best of seven games. (WFLA)
3. Feeding Tampa Bay was denied state funding for its FRESHforce program this past week by Governor DeSantis. The local organization is preparing for an increase in demand as government benefits end. Demand at the food pantry increased 400% at the beginning of the pandemic and is still up 40%. (WUSF)
4. A 24-year-old Holiday man faces charges of attempted murder for driving into two people, putting his car in reverse, and driving into them again at a banquet hall. The victims were taken to a nearby hospital with serious, but not life-threatening injuries. (Tampa Bay Times)
5. The first Shake Shack in Tampa Bay opens today at Midtown Tampa, one of Tampa's new development projects with millions invested. City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor will participate in a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. with the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce. (Patch)
