Suncoast Credit Union Foundation Bridge Dedicated At Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital

St. Petersburg, FL (DATELINE, 2025) — On June 25, 2025, leaders from Suncoast
Credit Union Foundation and Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital will come together
for a ceremonial bridge dedication in honor of the credit union’s philanthropic support
over 25 years in the making. The naming of the bridge, which connects the main
hospital to the Outpatient Care Center, is a tribute to the decades of collaboration and
shared commitment to advancing pediatric health care across Florida.
The bridge commemorates Suncoast Credit Union Foundation’s most recent $500,000
contribution, which established the Suncoast Credit Union Innovation Fund which
addresses critical needs in pediatric behavioral health, access to care in the community
and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The financial support has allowed the hospital to
expand its pediatric behavioral health team to 70 providers and an educational liaison,
address food insecurity in the community, and enhance neonatal care for more than
1,000 babies and mothers.
"Johns Hopkins All Children’s is honored to celebrate Suncoast Credit Union’s
longstanding philanthropy through the naming of this bridge,” says Jenine Rabin,
Executive Vice President, Johns Hopkins All Children’s Foundation and Community
Affairs and Engagement. “For decades, Suncoast Credit Union’s generosity has
supported the health of children and families in the community, and this dedicated
bridge reflects the connection between philanthropy and healthy futures.”
Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit
Union Foundation to promote the education, health and emotional well-being of children
in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses their debit or credit card, the
credit union gives two cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its
inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and gifted over $53 million.
"Addressing key areas of health is vitally important to sustain a healthy and thriving
community,” says Kevin Johnson, CEO of Suncoast Credit Union. “Today more than
ever perhaps, we need programs that address the needs of the complex communities

we are living in, particularly for the most vulnerable. Our relationship has sustained itself
because of the mutual respect we’ve established over these decades which has allowed
us to build infrastructure that transforms outcomes for children now and for generations
to come.”
