Tampa Bay Area Weekend Weather: Practically Perfect

Find out what's in store for the Tampa Bay area the weekend of Feb. 10-12.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa Bay area residents hoping to soak up a little sun over the weekend shouldn’t be disappointed. According to the National Weather Service, the region’s in for several days of sunny skies and warming temperatures.

Friday is expected to kick things off with a high in the low 70s. Sunshine’s in the cards throughout the day. The overnight hours are expected to bring clear skies, which is good news for folks eager to check out the full moon, eclipse and comet in the evening sky. Stargazing conditions could be a little chilly though with temperatures expected to fall into the mid-50s in much of the region.

Saturday is expected to bring noticeably warmer temperatures with a high in the upper 70s forecast for much of the area. Sunny conditions are anticipated throughout the daytime hours. After night falls, forecasters expect clear skies. Patchy fog could become a problem for motorists in the late-night hours though. The evening low is expected to drop into the upper 50s.

Forecasters say Saturday’s fog may stick around into the early morning hours Sunday. Motorists are being urged to use caution in low-visibility conditions. Once the fog burns off, the forecast calls for sunny skies and a high in the upper 70s. The overnight conditions should be mostly clear with a low around 60 degrees forecast.

The sunny streak is anticipated to continue into the workweek. Rain doesn’t make a return to the forecast until Wednesday.
