Tampa Bay Workweek Weather: Hot to Start with a Chance for Hail
Breaking: Thunderstorms in the early part of the week could produce hail, but cooler temperatures are possible later in the week.

TAMPA, FL — The Tampa Bay area is in for another few days of summerlike conditions with highs near 90 and afternoon thunderstorms likely. Slightly cooler temperatures are expected to come into the picture as the week progresses.
According to the National Weather Service, Monday should kick things off with sunny conditions at the start. The day’s high is expected to climb to about 90 degrees in much of the region with a 40 percent chance for scattered thunderstorms moving into the picture in the afternoon hours.
Those thunderstorms, forecasters say, are most likely to develop over interior counties. Storms that do crop up will be “capable of producing strong gusty winds, locally heavy rains, frequent deadly lightning strikes and small hail,” the weather service’s Hazardous Weather Outlook report warned. “If thunder roars, go indoors.”
