Tampa Man Threatened To Plant A Bomb At Rep. Castor’s Office: Reports

A Tampa man "left a vulgar, racist, obscenity-laden voicemail" at U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor's Tampa office in May, reports said.

TAMPA, FL — A Tampa man was found guilty by a federal jury of charges related to making threatening calls to U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor’s office, reports said.

The jury found Rigoberto Albizar Martinez, 57, guilty of threatening to destroy a building using an explosive, according to a U.S. Department of Justice news release.

He faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison. His sentencing date hasn’t been set.

Martinez called Castor’s Tampa office on May 1. He “left a vulgar, racist, obscenity-laden voicemail,” the DOJ said.

During the call, he threatened to plant a bomb at her office.

“I’m going to plant a bomb in your office. It’s a threat,” Martinez said in the voicemail, WFLA reported. “It’s a threat, so take it however you want you son of a (expletive expletive).”

He also said, “You Democrat sons of (expletive),” “pro-Palestinians” and “those (expletive) Black sons of (expletive) … all those Black Lives Matter, all those Black people,” according to reports.
