TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating the stabbing deaths of a 14-year-old girl and woman that took place Sunday in the 14000 block of Riveredge Drive in Tampa. Around 8:55 a.m., officers responded to a report of a girl in her early teens who had been stabbed multiple times. When they arrived, officers found the stabbed teen along with a woman in her 30s who had similar stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. The teen was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead as well. Based on the preliminary investigation, the victims, who are related, knew their attacker. Anyone with information that could assist detectives with the investigation is asked to call Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 or submit an anonymous tip by contacting Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS (8477).
