Orphaned Baby Chimp Is Flourishing At Lowry Park Zoo

A 1-year-old baby chimpanzee, essentially orphaned by her mother at a Baltimore zoo in Maryland, is thriving with her new adopted mom and siblings at Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo.

Visitors to the chimp habitat in Primate World can see little “Keeva” holding on to mom, “Abby,” playing with “Twiggy” and “Jamie,” or chasing ducks that share the same space.

Being Called 'Crazy' By Boss Possibly Set Off Publix Stabbing Suspect

A 29-year-old suspect from his hospital bed told police that his manager at a nearby Walmart had called him "crazy" which made him "upset and angry" prior to the seemingly random stabbing Thursday of a Publix supermarket employee in Sarasota, according to reports. >>> Read more.

See How Burglary Suspect Used Doggie Door To Get In

St. Petersburg police are looking for a suspected burglar who last week broke into a home by reaching through the doggie door and unlocking the main door. The incident was caught on camera.

"Please use this as a warning that doggie doors sometimes can become an opportunity for a burglar," police said. "If you have a doggie door, it's a good idea to have one that locks or to install a double cylinder door lock that locks with a key from both sides." >>> Read more.
