1. Veteran's Day: Residents throughout Tampa Bay will celebrate the area's veterans this week with parades, ceremonies, and special events. Events include a Stars And Stripes Top Agent Gala, 25th Annual Veterans Day Boat Parade, The 57th Annual Veterans Day Tribute, Veterans Day Dance, and more. (Tampa Patch)

2. A new hotel by Pendry Hotels & Resorts is set to open in 2024 along the Tampa Riverwalk. It will include 220 rooms, a luxury spa and rooftop pool, restaurant, lobby bar and café. 207 Pendry Residences condos will be above the hotel and start at $900,000. (WFLA)

3. The empty lot in Ybor City near 7-Eleven and King Corona Cigars will soon feature Sterling Cigar Lounge & Bar, Airbnb rentals, and a restaurant, according to permit development website Tampa Tomorrow. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

4. City of Tampa Mayor Jane Castor met with state and local transportation officials as well as business leaders this week to go over their options with funding from the Infrastructure Bill, recently passed in Congress and awaiting signature from President Biden. Transit options being reviewed include expanding bus service, activating CSX lines, and expanding and updating Tampa's streetcar system. (ABC Action News)

A group of professors from the University of South Florida (USF) called Salud Latina USF are working to combat misinformation about COVID-19 and share credible public health information with Spanish-speaking communities. The group was created in response to disparities in the Latinx community and rampant misinformation online that often ends up in Spanish. (WUSF)
