Here are the top stories in Tampa today:

  1. Former Tampa Bay Bucs player Antonio Brown has an arrest warrant out in Florida over unpaid child support. Court documents said Brown missed $15,000 in child support payments. The warrant will removed if Brown pays the mother. (CBS News, Bucs Gameday)
  2. Travelers have another discount option soon as Porter Airlines is offering non-stop service from Tampa International Airport (TPA) to Toronto, Canada starting Wednesday, Nov. 1. Flights will begin at $85 for one-way of travel. The airline features some unique perks including no middle seats and offers free Wi-Fi, power outlets, as well as beer, wine and snacks to passengers.   3. A Wesley Chapel man has been sentenced by a judge to life in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges this past March to coercing children into sex acts that were shared online using social media. The man was active from 2018 to 2020. Investigators accessed the suspect's iCloud account to find incriminating videos and images of minors they say the defendant produced. (Tampa Patch)
  4. Brandon High School graduates have received scholarships worth $1,000 in the name of Ernest Fernandez Jr. with the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce. Fernandez spent 42 years working with Hillsborough County schools. (Osprey Observer)
  5. City of Winter Haven is utilizing $1 million to expand outdoor dining in downtown and support local businesses. Outdoor dining became popular during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some locals are concerned that the outdoor dining will draw homeless residents or panhandlers. (WFLA)
