After Operating Remotely For Years, FL Chamber Gets Permanent Home
The West Tampa Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening of its news office this summer after working remotely for 12 years.
TAMPA, FL — After more than a decade without a home, the West Tampa Chamber of Commerce has found a permanent space, Marybeth Anglin, president, said.
The chamber will move into the recently opened COhatch West Tampa coworking space at 2130 W. Main Street in Suite 221.
The ribbon cutting will take place July 11, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“It’s very exciting,” Anglin said. “The chamber has not had a physical location in 12 to 13 years, since they sold the West Tampa Convention Center off Columbus (Drive.) That’s where the office used to be back in the day.”

Since then, the organization has “been a remote chamber pretty much ever since,” she added.
The nonprofit was founded in 1918 as the West Tampa Commercial Club which later changed to the West Tampa Chamber of Commerce in 1929.
The chamber is a collection of businesses, non-profit organizations and individual members focused on creative networking, helping businesses to succeed and grow, and neighborhood enhancement, while preserving West Tampa’s historical past.
The organization’s boundaries are Hillsborough Avenue to the north, Dale Mabry Highway to the west, Kennedy Boulevard to the south and the Hillsborough River to the east.
