What's Open, Closed In Hillsborough County On Thanksgiving Day

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — The majority of Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

There will be no trash, recycling or yard waste pick-up on Nov. 24. Regular hours will resume Nov. 25.

Also, the Southeast County Landfill, Northwest and South County transfer stations, Resource Recovery Facility, community collection centers and yard waste processing facilities will reopen with a normal schedule on Friday.

Libraries will operate under a modified schedule, closing at 6 p.m. Nov. 22 to 23.

All Hillsborough County libraries will be closed Nov. 24 and 25.

All Department of Health-Hillsborough County offices and clinics will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 23, through Friday, Nov. 26.

Offices and clinics will reopen on Monday, Nov. 28 for normal business hours. For medical emergencies, dial 911.

All conservation parks and skate parks will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, except Carrollwood Village Skate Park at Carrollwood Village Park, 4680 West Village Drive, Tampa, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

All dog parks and splash pads will be open on Thursday and Friday.

Hillsborough County Parks & Recreation recreational centers, including the programs offered at the facilities, will be closed Thursday.

The Hillsborough County Pet Resource Center will be closed. A limited number of animal safety and code enforcement officers will be on call for emergencies only. Submit a request via the Animal Request button at HCFLGov.net/AtYourService.

The Center for Development Services will be closed

The Sunshine Line transportation service will be closed

The water resources customer service center in Brandon will be closed. Emergency calls regarding county water and wastewater service may be made to (813) 744-5600.

The Emergency Rental Assistance Program Call Center will be closed.

City Of Tampa

The Tampa Riverwalk, including Winter Village, will be open for the Thanksgiving holiday.

City parks will be open on Nov. 25.

City of Tampa-operated cemeteries will be open on Thanksgiving.

The city of Tampa will host stay-and-play holiday hours Nov. 22 and 23 and will close Nov. 24 and 25 at the Springhill Community Center, the Copeland Park Community Center, Dr. MLK Community Center and the Jackson Heights NFL/YET Center.

All city aquatic facilities will be closed Nov. 24-25.

The Marjorie Park Marina will be closed Nov. 24-25.

The Sandra Freedman Tennis Complex will be closed Nov. 24-25.

The Joe Abrahams Fitness Center will be closed Nov. 24-25.

The David M. Barksdale Center will be closed Nov. 24-25.

The Cordelia Hunt Center will be closed Nov. 24-26.

City of Tampa offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24-25.

Commercial and residential customers will not receive collection service on Thursday.

The revised collection schedule is as follows:

• Residential customers  who normally receive service  on Thursday will receive service on Friday. Customers who normally receive service on Friday will receive service on Saturday. Regular solid waste collection service schedules will resume on Monday, Nov. 28.
• Commercial customers  who normally receive service  on Thursday will receive service  on Friday. Collection service will continue to run one day behind through Saturday. Regular solid waste collection service schedules will resume Monday, Nov. 28.
• McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House, 114 S. 34th St., will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (Thursday) and will reopen with regularly scheduled hours  on Friday.

Plant City

City offices will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.

Those who receive trash collection on Thursday will have trash pick-up on Wednesday, and Friday customers will be serviced on their regular day.

There will be no yard waste collection on Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Those who receive recycling services on Thursday will be moved up to Wednesday. Other days will be serviced on the regular schedule.
