1. Fa-la-la-la-la: The Winter Village in Tampa's Curtis Hixon Park is now open for the holiday season. The village includes a café, holiday shops, light displays, and a once-a-season chance for outdoor ice skating. The village will run through January 2nd. (Fox 13 Tampa)

2. A naked Clearwater man was arrested for beating and choking a woman that he’d just hit with his car in Brevard County Thursday afternoon. 33-year-old Daniel Patregnani was arrested on an attempted murder charge and is being held without bond. (Fox 35 Orlando)

3. Christmas icon and world-renowned singer Mariah Carey responded after an HOA threatened to fine a Westchase homeowner for putting Christmas lights up too early. Carey says her preference is to wait until after Thanksgiving to put up lights, but also said to each his own. (WFLA)

4. Software company Shufflrr has relocated from New York to Tampa's Embarc Collective. The company plans to create 30 jobs over the next three years and joins a growing list of tech companies relocating to Tampa. (Tampa Patch)

5. St. Pete Beach's historic Beach Theatre has outlined plans for a fall 2022 opening. The announcement for relaunch happened exactly 8 years after the theater shut down. New operators plan to bring back the once-popular “Rocky Horror Picture Show” live performance to the theater and other nostalgic programs to audiences. (Creative Loafing)
