Woman Assaulted By Man In Tampa After He Was Acting Erratically

The man was throwing signs in the road when the woman told him she was going to call the police. He pushed her to the ground and hit her.

TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are trying to identify a man who assaulted a woman on Tuesday afternoon near the Circle K at North Florida Avenue and West Hillsborough Avenue.

Man man appears to be Black, about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 120 to 130 pounds. He was wearing a black hat, light gray sweatshirt, hunter green pants and black and white shoes.

Police said the man was acting erratically, throwing signs in the roadway, when the woman told him to stop and said she was calling the police.

The man then pushed the woman to the ground and hit her multiple times. He also grabbed her cell phone and smashed it on the ground. He fled the area on a bicycle toward Nebraska Avenue.
