Woman Attacked 2 HART Employees On Bus: Hillsborough County Sheriff
A woman was arrested after hitting, spitting on two Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority employees, the sheriff's office said.

TAMPA, FL — A woman was arrested after assaulting two Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority employees Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Tamara West, 36, was charged with burglary of conveyance with assault or battery, battery on a public transit employee, and battery on a licensed security officer, according to a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Deputies responded to the area of 13000 North 27th Street around 4 p.m. for reports of two HART employees being attacked by West.

They learned that West got mad after she tried to board a HART bus that was at full capacity and was turned away by a supervisor at the scene.
When she wasn’t able to get on the bus, she hit both employees in their faces and spat on both of them, the sheriff’s office said.

"Violence against our public service workers is unacceptable; they deserve to work in a safe and respectful environment," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "We are committed to protecting those who serve our community and will hold accountable anyone who threatens their well-being."
