Your New Patch Editor Wants Your Feedback, Story Ideas

I can't wait to get to know all of you in South Tampa and Hyde Park.

A few days ago, an unfamiliar face appeared above the site names on South Tampa Patch.

That would be me, Camille. I'm your new local editor.

Some background: I'm a runner, a proud (Michigan State) Spartan and a Michigan native. I've lived in Tampa Bay since 2005, and helped launch Carrollwood-Northdale Patch, where I served as editor until last week.

I'm also no stranger to some of the communities and businesses south of Kennedy Boulevard and what they have to offer.

I wrote about local favorite Buddy Brew Coffee while I covered the Republican National Convention earlier this year.

I think Ciro's Speakeasy and Supper Club is one of the most unique Tampa Bay restaurants around.

With that said, I'm asking for your help making sure your issues, concerns and triumphs as a community are heard.

Send story ideas to me at camille.spencer@patch.com, or call my cell phone, 813-230-4967.

Sign up to be a Local Voices blogger. Shoot a photo gallery of a sporting event and email it my way.

Keep a simple rule of thumb in mind: If you think it's interesting, your neighbors probably do, too.

I look forward to working with and meeting you.
