1. Holiday Lights Ceremony
The city of St. Petersburg kicks the holiday season off with a Holiday Tree Lighting community event with Mayor Bill Foster flipping the switch on Friday, Nov. 23 from 5 - 7 p.m. in North Straub Park. Entertainment begins at 5 p.m. with Radio Disney and the Vesper Bells Choir from Lutheran Church of the Cross, 6 p.m. St. Petersburg Community Band and at 7 p.m., Mayor Bill Foster flips the switch on the lights.
2. Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA

Under the big top at the Trop parking lot, the circus get a unique twist with Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA. The show runs now through Dec. 16. Tickets for all performances of KOOZA are available online at cirquedusoleil.com/kooza or may be purchased in person at the Cirque du Soleil box office located inside the entrance tent at Tropicana Field. Friday night's show is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday has two shows, one at 3:30 p.m. and a second at 7:30 p.m. Sunday has a 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. show. Tickets range from $43.50 - $143.50.
3. Holizaar 5

The Studio@620 and The St. Pete Craft Heroes are hosting Holizaar 5, the fifth annual handmade holiday bazaar which will be held at The Studio@620 on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 3 - 8 p.m. Twenty one unique artisans will offer their handmade creations at this year’s event. Admission is $3.
4. This is the 60s
Friday night, head to the Mahaffey Theater to relive the music of the 1960s with, "This is the 60s." According to the Mahaffey, the show is "a unique multimedia blend of live music, film, dance, fashion, and animation. More than a stage show, and much more than a concert, This is the '60s, takes the audience on a time tunnel journey they will not soon forget. From the early days of the space program, through the hysteria of Beatlemania, and into the darkness of the Vietnam War, This is the '60s merges that entire turbulent decade into a cohesive and enthralling stage production." The show begins at 8 p.m. and tickets start at $25.
5. Saturday Morning Market
The market is held weekly on Saturdays through May, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is located at the Al Lang Field parking lot (also known as Progress Energy Park), which is located on the corner of First Ave. S. and First St. Shoppers can browse for fresh fruits and vegetables, loaves of rustic bread, gourmet- prepared foods, specialty foods, herbs, plants, hand crafted gifts and much more. Admission is free.
