What’s Open, Closed On Christmas 2025 In St. Petersburg
Here are some closures and schedule changes for some St. Pete government offices, facilities and services.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — With many St. Petersburg residents celebrating Christmas on Thursday, here are some closures and schedule changes affecting government offices, facilities and services over the holiday.
St. Petersburg City Hall, Municipal Service Centers and Other Government Facilities: Closed Thursday.
St. Petersburg Trash and Recycling Collection: Thursday’s residential trash and recycling collection took place on Wednesday. There will be no pick-up on Thursday. Friday’s collection remains the same.

St. Petersburg Libraries: All locations are closed Thursday.
St. Petersburg Recreation Centers: All locations are closed Thursday.

Sunshine Center: Closed Thursday.
The Coliseum: Closed Thursday.
The Mahaffey Theater/Duke Energy Center for the Arts: Closed Thursday.
Sunken Gardens and Business Office: Closed Thursday.
Boyd Hill Nature Preserve: Closed Thursday.
Mangrove Bay, Cypress Links and Twin Brooks Golf Courses: Closed Thursday.
Municipal Beach Concession Stand at Treasure Island: Closed Thursday.
Municipal Marina Ship’s Store: Closed Thursday.
Neighborhood Pools: Closed Thursday.
The Greenhouse: Closed Thursday.
Dwight H. Jones Neighborhood Center: Closed Thursday.
Enoch Davis Center: Closed Thursday.
Sanitation Department Brush Sites: Closed Thursday.
Pinellas County Schools: Schools closed through Jan. 4. Students return to the classroom on Jan. 5.
PSTA: Buses will operate on a holiday schedule, which is the same as Sunday, on Thursday. The InfoLine and Customer Service Centers are closed Thursday.
Christmas Tree Disposal: St. Pete residents can request Christmas tree disposal by submitting a photo in the SeeClickFix app or by calling the Sanitation Department at 727-893-7398. Free pick-up starts Monday.
