Abandoned St. Pete Home Destroyed by Fire
St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue says a homeless man was found uninjured on the front porch of a burning home Tuesday morning.

A two-story St. Petersburg home was destroyed Tuesday by what authorities say was an accidental fire.
St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue arrived to the burning home at 1021 10th Ave S. around 5 a.m. Tuesday, where they found a homeless man in the front porch area. He was not hurt, according to officials.
Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but the home is a total loss. The 1,866-square-foot wood frame house is valued at $28,685.

According to St. Petersburg Fire & Rescue, the fire was accidental. No recent owners were identified or located at the time of the fire.
