Concert will feature 20 songs from the 1970s Swedish super group.

PINELLAS PARK, FL – Can you hear the drums, Fernando? They’re most likely going to come from the Pinellas Park Performing Arts Center this Friday.

Like the history bo1ok on the shelf, destiny will be repeating itself for The Ultimate Abba Tribute, featuring the band Abbacadabra on Friday, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m. The center is located at 4951 78th Ave. N.

Abbacadabra will take the stage like super troopers, performing 20 of Abba’s greatest hits, matching the flair, sound and techniques of Agnetha Falskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.

If you’re thinking, “here we go again,” you can thank the Broadway musical and movie “Mamma Mia!” for the resurgence in popularity of the 1970s Swedish super group, as Casey Kasem often called Abba on American Top 40 during its heyday.

While younger fans may wonder if their mother know about Abba, older fans of the group will be transported back to a time when gas was less than $1 per gallon and leisure suits, bell bottoms and disco music were all the rage.

And while it may be a rich man’s world, you won’t need a lot of money, money, money to see the performance. Tickets are $18 in advance and $23 at the door.
