The Tampa and St. Petersburg Ronald McDonald Houses just got more comfortable thanks to a La-Z-Boy furniture donation.
The Tampa Bay La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store delivered furniture on Tuesday, November 29th, to make the Ronald McDonald House feel more like home. Local store associates were on hand to deliver donated pieces, including sofas, loveseats and chairs.
"The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay has shown an incredible commitment to serving families of sick and injured children by providing a home-away-from-home for families when they need it most," said John Grieger, owner of the La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries store in Tampa Bay. "We hope that this new furniture can contribute in a small way to the sense of comfort and tranquility that RMHC provides to families every day."
"We are honored to work with La-Z-Boy as a community partner and company that shares our dedication to making our families more comfortable" said Donna Young, House Director of Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay. "This new furniture will help further our mission to provide a warm and welcoming home for families in need."
The Ronald McDonald House of Tampa Bay, with four houses in the bay area, is a not-for-profit organization now in its 31st year of providing a safe and affordable "home-away-from-home" for families with children receiving medical treatment in bay area hospitals.
