As it finishes construction on its new emergency center and patient care tower that is set to open in January 2012, St. Anthony’s Hospital is conducting the final phase of hiring for select positions. Applicants will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 in the hospital’s main lobby.
In the final phase of hiring for the new emergency center, St. Anthony’s is recruiting for experienced registered nurses, maintenance technicians, security officers and environmental service technicians.
“We are so excited about the opening of our new emergency center and the opportunity to continue to offer compassionate care to the community in our new facility,” said St. Anthony’s Hospital President William A. Ulbricht. “We are searching for just the right people to join our dedicated team.”

The emergency center and patient care tower is a $61 million project that began in October 2010. The project includes a new four-story building that is approximately 100,000 square feet. The new facility will enhance the care and comfort of St. Anthony’s patients and their families. Features include:
- Expedited triage and admission protocol to treat patients more quickly and efficiently.
- A centralized design to keep clinical staff as close to patients as possible.
- 32 private examination rooms to treat more patients.
- Separate entrances for walk-in patients and ambulances.
The new facility also will feature the latest available technology to diagnose and treat emergency patients. There will be an advanced CT scanner, as well as dedicated imaging and lab facilities to help expedite diagnoses; two critical care cardiac exam rooms and an industry-leading electronic medical record system.
