Another St. Pete Beach Restaurant Closes After Hurricane Flooding
PJ's Oyster Bar in St. Pete Beach is closing after 18 years because of damages caused by Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

ST. PETE BEACH, FL — Another St. Pete Beach restaurant announced its closure because of damage from recent hurricanes.
Back-to-back hurricanes Helene and Milton ravaged the area this fall.
PJ’s Oyster Bar at 7490 Gulf Blvd. has closed after 18 years in business.

“We have celebrated birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and celebrations of life together. We have watched your children grow up and have children of their own. We've been through it all with you. You loved our staff like they were your own family. So it is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes I must tell you that PJ's won't be reopening at this location,” the owners wrote in a Facebook post.

They added, “Our lease has been terminated, the damage from the hurricanes was (too) much and there isn't anything else we can do to save the restaurant.”
They’re not ruling out PJ’s reopening elsewhere sometime down the road.
“Who knows what the future holds,” the owners said, noting that they’re “actively looking for a new location.”
PJ’s closure comes on the heels of nearby eatery, Woody’s Waterfront, announcing this month it has shut its doors for good and will put the property on the market.
