Arts and Cultural Grants Due Friday

To be eligible, a nonprofit arts or cultural organization must serve the residents of St. Petersburg. The amount provided to each organization depends on the merit of the application and the operating budget of the organization.

The city of St. Petersburg is offering grants to eligible nonprofit arts and cultural organizations for the next budget year and grant applications are due tomorrow. Completed applications must be delivered or postmarked on or before Friday, June 15. For organizations interested in applying for these grant funds, applications and guidelines to request funds are available online at www.stpete.org/budget/grantsc.asp.  

To be eligible, a nonprofit arts or cultural organization must serve the residents of St. Petersburg. The amount provided to each organization depends on the merit of the application and the operating budget of the organization.

It is anticipated that St. Petersburg City Council will allocate approximately $175,000 to eligible arts and cultural organizations to assist them in underwriting their operating expenses this next year.  The city’s Arts Advisory Committee will evaluate the applications in August and make recommendations to City Council in October.
