Florida Cancer Specialists, All Florida Orthopaedic Associates, Women's Care are partnering with Bayfront Health St. Pete on the expansion.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Bayfront Health St. Petersburg is expanding its downtown footprint with a new four-story, 132,000-square-foot medical complex.
The Bayfront Health Medical Pavilion – Institute Square complex will be built just west of the James Heart Center, according to a news release from the hospital system.
The project is a partnership between Bayfront and three of the state’s top medical specialists — Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute, All Florida Orthopaedic Associates, and Women’s Care. The new facility will include an outpatient imaging center and diagnostic laboratory services, Bayfront said.

Meanwhile, All Florida Orthopaedic, which has served the Tampa Bay area for more than 30 years, will provide expertise in multiple orthopedic specialties and procedures including orthopedic trauma, sports medicine, total joint surgery, foot and ankle care, as well as treatment for upper extremities.
Bayfront previously announced in September that it will build a Women’s Pavilion in partnership with Women’s Care, a leading women’s healthcare group with more than 100 locations in the United States.
The 480-bed Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, founded in 1910, was bought by Orlando Health, a not-for-profit healthcare organization, in 2020.
“Since Bayfront Health St. Petersburg’s acquisition by Orlando Health, our focus on transformation is evident for all patients we serve,” Dr. Trina Espinola, chief medical officer, said. “Our community, team members and physicians have embraced this renewal with the loyalty, trust, and pride in the quality care that we have historically been known for. With our nationally recognized programs, we will continue to grow our clinical centers of excellence.”
