Bill 'Woo' Correira Mural Unveiled

Bill 'Woo' Correira was known for giving back to the community in St. Pete. On Saturday, fellow artists, family members and friends unveiled a mural to honor the late Woo.

On Saturday, dozens gathered to honor the late Bill "Woo" Correira with the unveiling of a mural located in the alley behind the 600 Block.

Correira died inside his art gallery on Central Avenue on Nov. 26 after battling brain cancer for five years.

"For as talented as he is, he’s not the least bit pretentious. He never came off at arrogant," said local metal artist and Woo friend Frank Strunk III. "He was a good guy, generous soul. Creative. Kind of an unstoppable force in our creative community. It’s just an awful thing he died so young."
