Boy, 5, Hospitalized After Being Hit By Car In St. Pete: Reports

A 5-year-old boy is recovering from serious injuries after being hit by a car Sunday afternoon in St. Petersburg, reports said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 5-year-old boy was hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a car Sunday afternoon in St. Petersburg, according to multiple reports.

The crash happened just before 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of 18th Avenue S. and Prescott Avenue, WFLA reported.

The child was brought to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, WTSP said.

The boy is recovering and is in “good condition” Monday morning, officials told ABC Action News.

The driver remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
