​Citizens Invited to Share on 'Complete Streets' Transportation Plan

From the City of St. Petersburg: The City of St. Petersburg will hold a series of public workshops for the Complete Streets Implementation Plan beginning on Monday, March 20. The purpose of these workshops is to gain public input on how to improve our streets to better accommodate a variety of users, including persons walking, persons riding bicycles, motorists, persons with disabilities, users and operators of public transit, seniors, children,and movers of commercial goods. Citizens are encouraged to share ideas that will be used to assist the city with determining the focus of future transportation projects. All meetings will be held from 6 to 8 p.m.

Meeting dates and locations are:

Petersburg adopted a Complete Streets Policy in 2015 toencourage streets that are safe and convenient for all users. The policyoutlines how the City will achieve a network of Complete Streets in St.Petersburg, including creating a Complete Streets Implementation Plan, whichincludes an update of the 2003 Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan.
