COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments Open Friday In St. Pete

Seniors in Pinellas County can preregister for the COVID-19 vaccine appointments Friday morning.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Preregistration for the COVID-19 vaccine appointments for residents 65 and older opens Friday at 10 a.m., Pinellas County Department of Health said.

A new shipment of 10,000 vaccines from the state of Florida have arrived, according to health officials. Vaccinations will begin early next week in Pinellas County. An exact day has not been given yet.

Appointments are expected to fill up quickly, officials said. According to Twitter, Pinellas residents have already expressed having issues with the website taking too long to load on Friday morning.
