Comedy All-Stars Heading to the Mahaffey

The Mahaffey hosts some of the brightest stars in entertainment at “WiLD 94.1 Presents Shut up and Laugh,” a one-night comedy extravaganza that brings three of America’s biggest comedy names to the bay area.

Multitalented actors and comedians D.L. Hughley (The Hughleys, The Original Kings of Comedy), Gary Owen (Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam, Think Like a Man) and Saturday Night Live’s Jay Pharoah bring the ruckus to The Mahaffey on Friday, Aug. 17.

Tickets go on sale at noon Friday, June 15.

According to a Mahaffey news release, Hughley has made quite an impression in the television, film and radio arenas. As the star and producer of his namesake television show that ran on ABC and UPN “The Hughleys,” D.L. is also well known as one of the standout comedians on the hit comedy docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy. 

Comedian Jay Pharoah made his SNL debut as a featured player last Fall. Known for his hilarious Jay-Z impersonation, Pharoah developed his comedy skills at a young age in comedy clubs. He went on to tour in the UK, the US, and Montreal, and participated in the sketch comedy series, "Charlie Murphy's Crash Comedy." 

Currently the host of “Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam,” Gary Owen has performed at many of the top comedy clubs across the country.  Owen recently starred in the feature film “Think Like A Man” with Kevin Hart, Romany Malco, and Gabrielle Union.
